◆筑波会議　筑波大学図書館図情メディア系のセッションのお知らせ

筑波会議は、研究者や起業家、そして様々な分野で活躍する若手人材が一堂に会し、グローバル化した社会における科学技術の未来について深く考えるとともに、社会が抱える課題、その科学技術による解決策を探すための場として発案されました。
世界中からおよそ500人の未来のリーダーたちが筑波研究学園都市に結集し、様々な課題についての議論やディベートを通じてその解決に向けた提案やアクションプランをまとめ、それらを地球・社会・人々へ向けて発信していく。筑波会議はそのプラットフォームとなることを目指しています。

10月3日には以下の日程と内容で筑波大学図書館図情メディア系のセッションが開催されます。セッションでは、情報の質を管理できる社会教育機関の図書館、博物館、文書館を通し、サイバーとフィジカルな両空間に対していかに良質な情報が提供されうるのかを考え、またそこで得られた良質な情報に基づく議論の場を新しい公共圏として捉えてその在り方を論じます。その上で、現代社会の「分断から再統合へ」をテーマに、日本、米国、北欧という異なった社会システムの観点から、これからの民主主義の在り方および良質な情報に基づく議論を展開できる公共圏の創出法を検討します。

Notice of Tsukuba Conference Session by "Faculty of Library, Information and Media Science, University of Tsukuba"　

Tsukuba Conference is designed for young researchers, entrepreneurs and other young experts in various fields to share their ideas to enhance a deeper understanding of the future of science and technology, and on the wide range of challenges and solutions that science and technology can generate concerning the global society.

By bringing together approximately five hundred future leaders from all over the globe to Tsukuba Science City, Tsukuba Conference will provide them with a platform to discuss and debate issues, to put together action plans and proposals in the course of their discussions, and to reach out to the global community.

Faculty of Library, Information and Media Science, University of Tsukuba will conduct the following session on the 3rd of October.
The session discusses the ethical and inclusive ways of providing high-quality information to the cyber and physical public spheres through libraries, museums and archives. The session also considers ways to create a new public sphere in the democratic society based on perspectives from Japan, the U.S., and Nordic countries. The theme of this session is "From Division to Reunion".
